Grand Hariyali Teej & Jhulan Utsav Celebrated under the Divine Guidance of Maharaj Shri Pranav Awasthi Ji

VRINDAVAN — The sacred town of Vrindavan resonated with devotional fervor on August 15, 2026, as devotees gathered at Thakur Shri Radha Neel Madhav Ji Maharaj Mandir (Ganesh City Society, Vrindavan) to celebrate the auspicious festival of Hariyali Teej and Jhulan Utsav.

The divine celebration, organized under the leadership and patronage of Maharaj Shri Pranav Awasthi Ji, marked a joyous occasion celebrating nature, devotion, and divine love. The temple deity, Shri Radha Neel Madhav Ji, was adorned in festive green attire and placed on a beautifully decorated swing (Jhula).

Significance of Hariyali Teej & Jhulan Utsav

Hariyali Teej symbolizes renewal, purity, and the eternal bond of sacred devotion. Falling during the monsoon season, it commemorates the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, while in Vrindavan, it is famously celebrated as Jhulan Utsav, reflecting the divine pastime (Leela) of Shri Radha-Krishna swinging together in the lush green foliage of Braj.

Event Highlights

Divine Jhulan Darshan: Devotees had the blessed opportunity to offer prayers and swing the holy deity of Shri Radha Neel Madhav Ji starting from 3:00 PM onwards.

Mahaprasadam Distribution: A grand Prasadam feast was served to all attendees starting from 6:00 PM, spreading harmony and spiritual blessings.
