Under the guidance of the coaching staff, the team worked extensively on tactical execution, match situations, communication and overall team coordination, with a clear focus on developing the chemistry required to compete at the highest level.

The Hurricanes will now take this preparation into their league campaign, which begins on 6 October at the Noida Indoor Stadium. Haryana will open its VCL journey against Tamil Titans, before taking on Delhi Dynamites on 8 October. The campaign will then continue against Namma Bengaluru Smashers on 11 October, followed by Hoogly Hitters on 13 October.

With the first serve now drawing closer, the focus has shifted from the training court to the competition court. The Hurricanes will be looking to translate the hard work put in during their Dehradun camp into performances when the VCL action begins.

Greater Noida, September 22, 2026 : The Vietnam National Archery Team chose Galgotias University for a rigorous, nearly three-week training camp as part of its preparations for the Asian Games. The team began training on September 1, with the camp scheduled to conclude on September 20.

The delegation was accompanied by coaches Mr Richpal Singh Salaria and Mr Do Van Duy.

The training camp adds to a series of major sporting engagements at Galgotias University in recent months.

Earlier this year, the University hosted the National Coaching Camp for India’s Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Teams as they prepared for international competitions, including the Asia Pacific Lacrosse Sixes Championship 2026 in Australia. The camp was held from 17 June to 1 July and came after both the Indian men’s and women’s teams won Gold Medals at the Asian Lacrosse Games 2026 in Riyadh. The development assumes added significance with Lacrosse Sixes set to feature at the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028.

Galgotias University students have also delivered significant results in international competition. At the inaugural World Yogasana Championship 2026 held at EKA Arena in Ahmedabad, three students representing India secured five Gold Medals in a championship featuring 522 athletes from 79 countries.

Ritu Mondal, a first-year BA Economics student, won Gold in Traditional Individual and Traditional Group categories. Riya, a first-year BA English student, secured Gold in the Supine Individual Senior category, while Deepa Lodhi, a first-year BA English student, won Gold Medals in Artistic Pair and Artistic Group.

Jaipur, September 18, 2025: In an engaging encounter at the SMS Indoor Stadium, Jaipur Pink Panthers registered a 45-41 victory against the Bengal Warriorz on Thursday. Nitin Kumar and Ali Samadi recorded Super 10s for the hosts to help them climb to fourth place on the points table.

Meanwhile, Devank Dalal notched his seventh straight Super 10 alongside Manprit Pardeep, while Ashish Malik also registered a High Five, but that wasn’t enough for the Season 7 champions to get over the line.

Devank secured the first raid of the game, reaching a milestone by becoming the fastest raider to 400 raid points, achieving the feat in just 38 games. Nitin Kumar opened Jaipur Pink Panthers’ account, but it was the Warriorz captain who was on a roll, giving his team a three-point lead in the early exchanges.

However, the hosts responded quickly with Aashish Kumar’s Super Tackle on Devank, followed by a swift raid from Nitin Kumar to level the score at 6-6. A two-point raid from Ali Samadi then helped the Jaipur Pink Panthers open up a four-point lead, ending a high-octane first quarter at 12-8.

The Pink Panthers slowly began to assert their dominance, inflicting an ALL OUT to extend their lead to six points. Nitin Kumar completed his sixth Super 10 of the season, while Aashish Kumar added four tackles in the first half, giving the two-time champions a convincing 24-18 lead at halftime.

With the Warriorz having only one player on the mat to begin the second half, the hosts inflicted another ALL OUT courtesy a tackle from Aryan Kumar, further extending their lead to nine points. Manprit Pardeep and Devank momentarily cut the deficit down to six points before a Super Tackle from Nitin Rawal ensured Jaipur Pink Panthers do not get complacent. Ashish Malik contributed in defence for the Warriorz, tackling Nitin Kumar on a Do-Or-Die raid to keep his side within striking distance with under ten minutes to go.

Bengal Warriorz found a glimmer of hope as Devank Dalal completed another Super 10 and Ashish Malik recorded a High Five to inflict an ALL OUT on the Jaipur Pink Panthers, making it a three-point game with under five minutes to play.

With the game on the line, the Iranian duo for Jaipur Pink Panthers shut the door on any possibility of a comeback. First, Reza Mirbagheri tackled Devank, and then Ali Samadi followed it up with a sensational four-point Super Raid, also completing his maiden Super 10 in the process. That in the end proved to be the difference between the two sides in this high-scoring thriller as Jaipur Pink Panthers clinched a 45-41 victory.

The unique Par 3 format, which limited players to just three clubs (including a putter), created a fast-paced, thrilling experience akin to the T20 format in cricket.

Badminton Asia Senior Open 2023

Jaipur :  Representing India in the Badminton Asia Senior Open 2023, Himani Punia of Jaipur won two titles. Himani has won two silver medals for India in the Women's Singles 40+ and Women's Doubles 40+ categories. This tournament was held in Danang, Vietnam from 11 to 17 December. In a first-of-its kind sporting competition the SFA Championships will come alive at the Sawai Man Singh stadium for school students, providing them with professional infrastructure and equipment, certified match officials and referees, equipped with medical stations, physiotherapists, clinics and workshops, a digitally integrated system for detailed statistics, analysis and match videography.

This year, SFA has pledged to encourage 2 Lakh athletes to play through 10 SFA Championships in a span of 4 months. Aligned with the government’s vision, SFA has focused on enabling Public & Private sporting initiatives in the country since its inception in 2015. The 36th National Games, Gujarat, 2022 and Khelo India Youth Games, Haryana, 2021 were powered by the SFA’s tech IP Games Management System (GMS). Additionally, in 2023, SFA signed on as the 5-year sponsor for the Khelo India Youth Games, the Madhya Pradesh edition.
